RE Body toning class…. Nancy includes a variety of exercises to great music - and manages to make it fun! Have loved all the workshops I've been to far, as well as the belly dancing, as Nancy has a really friendly approach and explains dance moves so clearly. I regularly attend Nancy's dance class on a Saturday and I have also completed two belly dance classes. I really enjoy her Saturday class as not only is it good exercise but it is also loads of fun! Every week there is a new routine which means no matter how often you attend the class is always a challenge … Nancy also uses a interesting variety of music from different genres which also keeps the class lively - especially when there is debate about what to play! I started Nancy's dance aerobics class almost 3 years ago, initially as another one in a string of aerobics classes to lose a lot of weight. I've struggled with my weight my whole life, and like most big women, am constantly conscious of drawing attention to myself and the limitations of having a big body. So why dance, you might ask? To begin with, I pottered away at the back of the class, making mistakes. Three years later, I hardly ever miss a week, and while I will never be my ideal size 12 (I'm a voluptuous size 16), I just don't care anymore (most days). It's the DANCING that's changed all of that - at some point, it stopped being exercise and started being fun. There's something magic that happens in the room - and I think most of the people there feel it. It's the music, it's the steps, it's the energy.........and it's Nancy. It's led by her, and because of her, a lot of us have (re)discovered a great love for dance - even if we don't have ideal bodies and will never do it professionally. Join a class!
